Eat drink
lack of sleep
memory gaps

alcohol
mood swings
what can I say?

drink each 
drink as if it
were routine

a shot with
a spike of
stress

unbearable traveling
D.C. to Sacramento                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

Pills help shovel
it away where the
hell am I?

a gut-wrenching
search for sex but
not the three-minute kind

i’d rather have a
poisonous kiss
from the mouth
of a woman

then turn and
run
the other
way
